In September Apple is all set to launch its new iPhone 16 series. The new series might feature the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, with updated features At this event, apple may announce a few of its products also, which include the new Apple Watch Series 10 coupled with a new generation of iOS, iPad, Mac, and more. Camera
There are no changes expected for the iPhone 16 Main camera, but with the Ultra Wide lens improvements, the iPhone 16 models could support macro mode for the first time. There will also be a dedicated Capture Button on the side of all iPhone 16 models for capturing images.
Display Technology
The iPhone 16 OLED panels could use micro-lens technology for both improved brightness and reduced power consumption. Micro-lens arrays, or MLAs, use a uniform pattern of billions of lenses inside the panel to reduce internal reflection. The reflected light increases perceived brightness without increasing power consumption.
The OLED displays that are used in the iPhone 16 lineup will be more power efficient thanks to improved materials.
AI Capabilities
The iPhone 16 models are expected to feature an improved microphone that will accompany the AI-enhanced Siri experience. The microphone will have improved water resistance and a better signal-to-noise ratio that will “improve the Siri experience significantly.
Colors
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, though, believes the iPhone 16 will not be available in purple and Yellow. Color variants include black, blue, green, pink, and white.
Buttons
This time apple plans to add new buttons to the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, One Which is the Capture button and the other replaced with the mute switch previously all series had.
The Action button
The Action button, which replaces the traditional mute switch, can perform multiple functions such as turning on the Camera, activating the Flashlight, enabling or disabling a Focus mode, launching a Shortcut, turning on/off Silent Mode, using Translate, and more.
New Capture Button
The new capture button is located on the same side as the power button, in the space that is occupied by the 5G mmWave antenna generally in the U.S.
- Press harder on the button to take a photo.
- Lightly press the button to autofocus while capturing an image or video.
- There may also be a gesture for switching between photo mode and video mode, similar to how you can capture a video with a press and swipe in the iPhone camera app.
- Swipe left and right on the button to zoom in and out.
Battery
The iPhone 16 Pro will support 40W wired charging and 20W MagSafe charging, according to a rumor. As of right now, the iPhone models support up to 27W wired charging and 15W MagSafe charging. It is not yet clear if the rumor is accurate.

USB-C Port
Apple will transition to USB-C technology with the iPhone 15 lineup, and it is expected to be used for the iPhone 16 models and future models.
RAM
The standard iPhone 16 models could be upgraded with 8GB of RAM, up from 6GB in the iPhone 15 models. That would see all four iPhone 16 models offering 8GB of RAM.
5G Modem Chips
The iPhone 16 Pro models could be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X75 modem, allowing for faster and more efficient 5G connectivity. According to Qualcomm, the X75 offers improved carrier aggregation, plus the combined sub-6 GHz.
A-Series Chips
This time confirms that all four iPhone 16 models are set to use the same next-gen A18 chip, but there may be a chance that Apple could differentiate between iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. A18 chips with a smaller number of GPU cores could be used for the iPhone 16 models, while chips with a better GPU could be used for the iPhone 16 Pro. The chips could even have different A18 and A18 Pro names.
The next-generation A18 chip that’s planned for the iPhone 16 Pro models could feature an upgraded Neural Engine with “significantly” more cores, allowing for improved AI/machine learning performance, It is expected to have a larger die size.
